Decent LED 3rd brake light?
On my 110, I have a "plain" rear door glass, as such it doesn't have the factory fitted studs for the 3rd brake light.

But, I bought a pair of said studs and have been trying to find a way to keep them in place.

Over the last 8 years it's been on the road, I've continously had to re-glue (or re-tiger seal, or re-"rearview mirror sticking kit") the brake light studs onto the glass to hold the (rather large and cumbersome) LR brake light assy in place.

I've even taken the dremel to the glass to "rough it up" a bit in the vein hope the tigerseal/glue/etc will hold the stud in place, but eventually they fall off again.

Sooo... can anyone suggest a decent LED 3rd brake light to replace the standard LR unit?

LR unit is about 26cm x 6cm IIRC...

I figure being LED and thus lightweight, some decent double sided tape will hold it in place, compared to the anvil that is currently in situ.

Thanks all. Thumbs Up

The rimmerbros one looks very much like the Nakatanenga one sold by 4x4 Overlander; (which is much cheaper!) It probably weights about the same as the original so unlikely to solve the problem.

Hmmm... seems this durite light is NLA which is a shame.

My local stockists had this one: http://www.ringautomotive.com/uk/products/...ting/RL097

Which i wasn't too keen on, looks a bit flimsy on the ends (plus not much surface area of stick pad to hold it onto the glass either)

So the hunt continues.... Rolling Eyes
