Hmm go to Ulva great sea food. Erraid if possible I’ve been in the RIB not sure about a car. After that I would probably move on up to Arisaig nip over to Skye then up to Applecross
IMO a lot better than Mull Plenty of campsites about |

Ahh the Mishnish pub in Tobermory - great place on a sunny evening!
I'm sure you'll drive the coast road all the way round - shame not to. If you are feeling energetic, Ben More is the only 3000 foot mountain on the island, fantastic viewpoint Hmmm, seems like yesterday, but last time I walked Ben More on Mull was May 2002!!! If going to the West for Ben More also look to get to Fionnphort and over to Iona. Clear waters and great beaches and the abbey are worth the trip.
If it is going to be windy don't camp there I snapped the ridge pole on a Vango Force 10 there in the 1990's and the rest of the campsite blew away. 1995 Defender 110 CSW 1971 SIIA Lightweight |

Find Scoor, follow the minor road to the end, two beautiful beaches and most likely not another person in sight. Look out for basking sharks, hen harrier, golden eagle, sea eagle .... It started with a kiss, never thought it would come to this.
SIII CSW Safari, limestone, (JAC 914N). Where is she now? It's not a car, it's a way of life! |

Aha now I understand Hard to snap a F10 pole - must have been very wild. I once bent a F10 ridge pole, didn't sleep a wink in the storm! Other tents were shredded. Next morning the campsite was Beirut-like. Tobermory distillery on Mull - worth a tour if the weather's unkind...? Defender "Puma" 2.4 110 County Utility (possibly the last of the 2.4's) |

Some nice walks around Aros Park just outside Tobermory.
Loch Frisa is good for eagle spotting, I drove the length of it last week and saw two golden and one white-tail in the space of a few minutes. Public can't drive up it but there's a car park at the bottom (Salen end) where one can park and walk up. Watch out for dumper trucks fixing up the road at the moment. One of my favourite spots is Ardmore right at the top of the island. You can park at the forest road entrance and walk up to the headland/bay past a couple of old ruined farmsteads/crofts. Nice views over to Ardnamurchan and Coll. Assuming you're coming from Oban - make sure you book the ferries and don't just turn up hoping to get on, they're rammed at the moment. I got stuck last week due to a booking SNAFU and ended up having to go a rather circuitous route via Fishnish - Lochaline and then Corran Ferry to get round back to Oban. |
