I know that I’m probably preaching to the converted but . . .
Following the trials and tribulations of my rear springs . . .I called Gwyn Lewis http://gwynlewis4x4.co.uk and had a very useful conversation with Ben - extremely knowledgable. Drove across to his place in Wales and Gwyn was brilliant. He weighed the load on each wheel, measured the height of the current springs, replaced them with a set of Old Man Emu, still not high enough, so replaced them with the next ones up the scale. he even spotted that my hub flanges were from Ashcroft Transmissions, pointed out that they might need a bit of grease so he greased them. He also noticed that my prop UJ’s were a bit dry so greased them as well. Didn’t want to raise the vehicle any more than this (see below) owing to heavy load on roof. Just drove 70 miles back through A roads and B roads of Wales. What a difference. Brilliant service, and the net result is below. Thanks again Gwyn and Ben. Top Blokes. Outstanding. Pete.
