If it is type approved as N1 it will be commercial rates, if M1 private ie expensive rates.

All hard top vans, Pickups (of any type) and Utility station wagons are commercial tax (N1), regardless of age or engine size. £240 per year.

Yes it was £240 but went up to £250 on 5th April. My reminder dated 22nd March said £240 but when I went to pay it online it had increased to £250. Defender 90XS SW

I believe 2011MY onwards are commercial £240.

For station wagons with 3 rows of seats and windows all around yes. But Pickups, vans and USW's are all commercial tax regardless of age. |

I have a 110 utility which is taxed as a van I cannot remember exactly how much the road tax is but I think it is just over £200 maybe a bit more not much. I was told the Station wagon type was about double road tax but the utility is a commercial vehicle hence the lower road tax.
