Hmm - I guess I could have just looked it up on the LR website?!
Have now had a look - paint and bodywork not covered nor hinges. Better sort them out myself then! The other two look like probable claims. Defender 110XS SW gone... now VW California 180 4 Motion. |

3 year paint surface warranty irrespective of mileage and changes of ownership.
6 year perforation warranty irrespective of mileage and changes of ownership. Perforation specifically mentions "rust" so it is questionable whether it covers any of the aluminium panels (anyone had one repaired under this warranty) since "rust" is a term specifically applicable to ferrous metals only. As usual there are plenty of get-outs regarding maintenance, accident damage, cleaning etc. |

I had this problem with a used volvo, i had the used volvo warrenty which i thought covered every thing.
Took it in for the front bushes being worn and a knock from the steering, needed wish bones bushes and ball joints. Got a phone call off volvo, not covered, being a mardy tight yorkie i gave them a round of F***s and it was left with them, lucky for me i did not need it, was sat in their garage for 3 days, util it was sorted, kind off, i had to pay for parts, so i did, then wrote to dealer principle and got my money back. Just a drive chain warrenty i was told, could be the same for LR i guess. So check all grease nipples are on your UJ's, diffs are dry and gear box / transfer box is dry. |
