My understanding is that cars and vans below 3.5 tons are subject to the normal limits displayed on the signs apart from adverse weather where they all reduce. I struggled to find much on the net before I went late last year so drove at normal car speeds (UK registered N1 110 Hardtop). Coming into Calais I was flashed by a camera, my boss who was following in a BMW saloon didn't set off the same camera so can only presume the normal limits apply but the system thought I was a larger vehicle and flashed me by accident. I didn't receive a fine or letter. The toll booths often mistook me for a commercial vehicle and charged a higher rate as well.
http://ec.europa.eu/transport/road_safety/...its_en.htm Depending on when you are going be aware that the limits on A and B roads are changing in July for all vehicles apparently and the 'Crit-Air' stickers are becoming mandatory in some cities. https://www.rac.co.uk/drive/travel/driving...in-france/ Other than that remember the priorité à droite rules and you should be fine 2005 Td5 110 Hardtop 1989 300Tdi 90 Soft top 1992 200Tdi 90 Truck cab with Land Cruiser axles |

70kph if the road is wet.
Already into force in some areas from 1st April, including my route to work and the police are there often to enforce! |

Useful links, thanks. Couldn't see anything specific about N1, but those clean air certs sound a pain.
