235/85 or 265/75, standard LR sizes, are both close enough as makes no difference if changing all on a vehicle from one to the other. However, if looking to add one to a set, you really should have a matching size, so you need another 7.50. Darren

There is nothing else the same dimensions as a 7.50R16.
Despite the frequent claim that 235s are the metric equivalent, they're much wider and actually slightly (by about 1/2") shorter. The latter point is a little odd seeing as they're nominally a 32" tyre compared to the 7.50 being a nominally 31" but when you get a tape measure out it's almost reversed. Edit: I've got some part worn ones sat in a pile at home if you want one. Not a great deal of tread left on them but perfectly good enough for a spare and well within legal limits. |
