I've just done exactly that - galvanised standard bumper from Paddocks, T washed, primed and finished with satin black acrylic:

T wash, more formally known as Mordant solution, is a pre-treatment for galvanised metals that key it to take paint. Darren

Possible thinking about ordering this one? By the time I have added the t wash and primer and paint and fixing kit, this seems ok? Is it as good or near as good? This one includes a new fixing kit.

It'll be ok. The three year rust warranty is something I haven't seen before. Note that it doesn't have holes with which to mount the rubber end caps. Darren

I'm guessing I can drill those myself if I decide to add the existing endocaps ? Or even glue them somehow. I will have to drill holes for the registration plate I guess, which is a shame......or glue that also? Is that legal?

If you drill holes in it then you'll breach the coating and almost certainly void the warranty.

There's readily available foam tape for fixing number plates, which is what I've done for the one above. Darren
