another headling question
i was thinking of covering my headling as it is getting a bit grubby, i was lloking at headliner material and thought about trying it myself, has anyone done this do you stick it direct onto the existing lining or remove the existing cover back to the card base, any input appreciated nobody is perfect but being Scottish is a start

You need to remove the original fabric and any sponge that it left stuck to the card. Then use a spray glue to stick the new covering. There is a member on here who sells the original OEM fabric Ibexman on this forum sells it. Fabric is 1.2 wide 12 metre plus p&p. PM him your requirements I think his phone number is. 07944349763 For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at..

When i did mine the original was peeled off, the liner sprayed with high temperature caravan glue then stuck on some Gortex black fabric.

Once in a rough shape I folded the edges back and stapled them down and glued the edges as per the original

Looks excellent, was really easy to do and best of all is now wipe clean!

Note the use of high temp glue! It really makes a difference as if you use something else like Evostick it falls down after a few weeks even in winter.
