Has anyone any idea when the last 110 Hardtop with Side Window Export type where built?
I do not recall ever seeing any Puma vehicles in the flesh though have found a LR picture of Military Trials/sales vehicle. http://www.militaryvehicle-photos.net/pict...rt-vehicle Maybe they disappeared along with SW Sideways facing seat regs change but would this effect Export? I've seen lots with windows that I know to be aftermarket, and just assumed that all the ones that I didn't know the origin of were also aftermarket.

Ah! those side windows were 'truck cab' rear sliding windows x 4, nothing fancy.

Hi Yostumpy,
I kind of though the same thing but then thought about the sliding arrangement overlap and direction of travel etc. Will need to study a Truck cab a little closer and someone part number checking Thanks Andy Working towards Carry on camping! |

We have a Puma locally used by the guy who delivers beer to restaurants, seen it around almost daily. No idea of age, whether 2.4 or 2.2 or if the Windows were factory fit (look like they were, see no reason why he will have added them) or aftermarket. Will try and take a snap next time. Hi Grouse,
Standard station wagon side windows are too long to have 2x on each side of a hardtop. Andy Working towards Carry on camping! |

Photo as promised. Is this what you are after?
Click image to enlarge As mentioned in my previous post, this is definitely a Puma, not sure if 2.4 or 2.2, and looks factory Monsieur Le Grenadier I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list..... 2011 Puma 110DC - Corris Grey |

Not wanting to be negative - but they just don’t look right - whereas the MOD 110 in Andy80’s link above looks good

Strangely, whilst out cycling later that morning I saw an almost exact LHD varient of the version in Andy's photo, never having seen one before. Couldn't take a photo quickly enough. Certainly not one and the same as my photo and you're right, Andy's with the fuller windows, look better. But the other was also pre-Puma. Monsieur Le Grenadier

That is the traditional way for such windows to be fitted, the size allows them to be fitted above the reinforcing rib in the side panel. It is a classic series-like look, and I personally think that that is a cracker (I think it looks better that the military version with the bigger windows). |

^^^ And it's that individuality that makes Defender ownership so fantastic and will likely as not be lost when the new version comes along Monsieur Le Grenadier
