I have that on my 2015 tdci as standard so JLR must do it as an available part?
I wish the indicators either cancelled better or had an audio-able warning 2015 HT XS 90 2008 SVX 90 2000 XS TD5 90 |

Ok interesting. Mine is a 2010 2.4.
Does anyone have a wiring diagram showing how they did it or know the part number? |

Mine has the hard of hearing version to stop you leaving your lights on.
The light switch is so positioned that it makes removal of the ignition key kind of impossible, without turning the lights out I have often wondered why JLR put any effort at all into adding 'extras' or subtle changes to the defenders on the 2015 and newer ones. Like why did they change the splines of the steering wheel. Why did they change the colour of the roof lining? Is there also a spare switch to turn the traction control off? Why did they bother? I'm sure there is a reason, but I haven't a clue |

Brain fart. That's twice I have read that today. Must write that down for use latter
You see what I have always thought. An unloved, low volume vehicle that was at the end of its run. I understand bling a high volume car to get shot of the older version just before the new one was released, but they didn't even have a new model to sell? If I had been holding the purse strings, I think I would have just kept pumping them out of Lode Lane with the least effort possible. |

They invested a few million quid in the updated DSC system (the reason for the traction control button). 1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

Have a look at:
http://defender90xs.blogspot.com/2014/03/l...uzzer.html Or as a simpler install it is possible to pick up the side light and ignition circuits from the rear of the cigarette socket in the dash and connect up one of these: https://www.autoelectricsupplies.co.uk/product/264/category/53 Keith Keith |

Get a 12V buzzer. Loudness/annoyance level of your choice
Positive to the dash illumination - easiest behind a switch/cig lighter. Colour is RED with ORANGE stripe. Negative to the driver's door switch. Colour is GREY with WHITE stripe. Either remove the screw and carefully remove the switch from the driver's door shut and splice into the wire (or even better make a proper male+female Y cable), or find it at the alarm ECU grey connector pin 5. If you need terminals, female/male locking spades, retrofit quality splice connectors etc drop me a PM 1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top 2015 D90 XS SW |
