[For Sale] 5 Button Key Fob Upgrade Service

I can offer you the service to upgrade your current 5 button key fob to the very latest slimline design.

I've been doing this service via eBay for a while now and recently Martin and I have agreed I will be a "Site Supporter" with revenue from this going back into the forum.

The service involves having to reshape the PCB from your current key to fit the latest key fob, but has the added bonus that it will still go back into the original should you want to revert back. Not a job for the faint hearted but I've done lots of these now including my own and my dad's too (we were the guineau pigs)

Maybe you have a peeling key fob or just want to upgrade.

You get a brand new 5 button Key fob (as used on 2013MY+)
Your spare key blade is stored inside the key
There is NO need to re-programme anything
It will work as normal but be much easier to carry!
I also fit a brand new Duracell CR2032 battery for you at the same time
Key fob comes with a new split ring too

You send me a key and I will post back First Class Signed for guaranteed by 1pm..

Total cost £47 per key. PM me to get things going.

NB: Key must work, I can't fix PCB errors or re-programme.

(I can also renew your LR 3 button key fob as used on Discovery 3s, Range Rover Sport and some L322 RRs - see my other advert.)

Afternoon

If I have a standard TD5 key with no fob and an Autowatch alarm fob, can you put the two together?
Happy to supply pictures etc

Afraid not Simon, it won't work, the shape of the internals is very specific. 2016 D4 HSE

Just to let you know, I am having a short holiday starting on Saturday October 22nd and returning Friday 28th.

I shall not be available to do any keys during this time, however I will be contactable by PM, mobile and can arrange to do keys on my return if urgent.

Christmas Post

Due to crazy Christmas post, I am now experiencing significant delays in post arriving with me, and being delivered to you.

The Post Office delivers to my house at 7pm

(is this a record? Does anyone else get their post this late?) and the last official date for posting first class before Christmas is December 21st in the UK.

2017: Updated Terms of Service

Happy New Year everyone, a quick update for this service going into 2017.

Due to unforeseen external changes with Royal Mail and my local Post Offices I have to change a few things that directly impact on my service.

1. All keys will be sent out by RM 1st Class Gauranteed by 1pm, Tracked & Signed for. There is additional cost to cover but the peace of mind is worth it. The postal service is in my opinion becoming less reliable with standard post and parcels. I do not want your key to go missing.

2. I cannot gaurantee such quick turnaround times as my post is delivered so late, getting them back in the same day's post is no longer possible.

3. My local Post Offices have closed down, I now have to travel much further to get these back in the post (I fit these in around my full time job)

Therefore:

The cost of the 5 Button Key Upgrade is now £47 per key for UK addresses (please PM for International orders)

Total turnaround time is likely to be 4-5 days from you posting the key to me getting it back (if the Royal Mail adheres to their SLA's).

It is a great shame but it's either take these decisions or stop altogether.

Any International interests please get in touch with me via PM so we can arrange postal methods. It seems some carriers like to slap a hefty importation tax on deliveries.

Please note, I am away from February 2nd to the 10th 2017 and cannot do any keys during this time. I can take orders up to the end of this month and then from Feb 11th onwards.

I don't think this would be possible, and without working examples it's hard for me to check it out.

Most of the LR key fobs have totally different shape PCBs inside, and so re-shaping these is not possible, you'd cut off the circuit tracks and render them useless. 2016 D4 HSE
