Rattling Fold Up Seats
Hi there,

I recently bought my 07 110 XS Puma SW after long time looking and admiring.

Now I have it, there are a few issues to sort out which I need to speak to the dealer about, but one I thought I may be able to sort myself (with some advice) is the rattling rear fold up seats.

The previous owner had removed the seats completely to accomodate her four legged friends, and it seems that when the dealer reinstalled them, there is a bit of play in them when folded up. This results in a very annoying slap every time I go over a bump (or small car).

Does anyone know how to adjust/tighten them up? At present I have a fleece blanket jammed in between the seat and the side. Not ideal, but has temporarily stopped the slap!

Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers

Paul

Aren't there rubber pads set into the metalwork under the windows to stop this happening? I'm sure I've seen something like this on mine.

i think this may be normal (well, at least mine also does it). i normally leave my seats folded down (the back-rests folded down) to avoid this "clack" everytime i go over a bump, etc.
when i'm out in the bush it's no problem because my fridge and food draws fit quite snug and prevent the folded up chairs from flopping around...

I think there are pads, but on closer look, it seems the whole plastic lining is creaking, taking the pad with it, so nothing to resist the wobbly chair.

Blanket stuffed down the side seems the only technical solution!

Mine do the same, they are comming out soon anyway to make more space in the back. The middle row seats also get play in them eventually and need constant fiddling with. Puma 110 SW

One of mine has just started - more of an annoying creaky-squeak at the moment, and fixed with old coat for the time being. 1953 80
