we all know if its upside down (or inside, back to front etc) its Australian - right.
well I thought diesels were noisy / rattly when cold and smoother when warm - right? well mine is definately the opposite ! and I'm thinking its the egr. the first day I got it there was some kangaroo juice in at (surging at about 2000rpm) then it went away but has re-occured a couple of times? any other ideas? |

Bummer - sorry to hear that. Solution: full Mantec interior window guards and a cargo barrier (and a shotgun) One that started out as a 2.4 TDCi 110 XS + New Defender 110 First Edition |

i have to say the shotgun solution sound more appealing followed by a test for the m&s (mud and scum) tyres. |

Hmmm - thought so egr!
two defenders - both with egr problem. what I can say is how BRILLIANT the engine is when its working. its like the engine has an addiction for the turbo which you can hear (again brilliant). but when its not working its like you dare not give it more than 1500 rpm in fear of the engine breaking ! how do I convince the stealer of the problem when the last def I had ended up with new injectors, fuel pumps etc - but only when another dealer bought it off me and knew the crack. I was fobbed off the fact its was a agricultural piece of machinery and not knowing any better thought it was normal? having done less than 1000 miles I guess there's little chance of a well squirt of WD40 resolving the issue? |
