Series One Land Rovers mainly, but all welcome to come along and have a shufty

Bolton Abbey Railway Station 22/04/2018

An informal gathering of Series One Land Rovers will take place on Sunday 22nd April 2018 at Bolton Abbey Railway Station, part of the Embsay Steam Railway. Open to arrivals from 10:00, this informal gathering takes place in the car park at Bolton Abbey Station. Come and go as you please. Bring stuff to sell, and look out for bargains to buy!

No camping sorry. Its very informal, and aimed at series ones, but obviously since its in the railways public car park, all are welcome to come along and have a shufty.

We normally get a very good turnout of interesting series ones, but this year it conflicts with a pilgrimage to Amsterdam organised by the Series One club to celebrate the launch of the Land Rover at the Amsterdam motor show in 1948 and the Ripon Spring classic car and bike show so numbers might be down a little. Euro-Leafing to infinity and beyond.....

'Oxford' one of the two series ones which took part in the First Overland trip to Singapore has indicated that they hope to be there. This is a truly iconic vehicle, with a fabulous history, and which no doubt got many of us interested in over landing and epic trips.
