Courier wanted
Could someone give me a contact e-mail for Big Dave the courier, or failing that someone else who could help me get boost alloys from the U.K. to Ireland. The seller won't ship them. Thanks 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

Are they just the boost rims or boost rim and tyres?

Reason I am asking, am guessing weight of rim in range 10-15 kg

Weight of rim + tyre 20-25 kg

If rim only could be 2-3 parcels

If rim + tyre would be either 5 parcels or 1 pallet

Currently we are finding UPS cheapest for Eire.

Today a 22 Kg Parcel to one of the UK Islands our normal courier £18 an alternative courier £9

It all depends on exactly you are buying and how helpful the seller will be. Wheel and tyre combination some couriers will not take. They will need wrapping in pallet wrap with heavy duty cardboard over the good face of the alloy wheel at least if not both sides.

Even if you get hold of Big Dave you will number of parcels, size and weight of parcels.

Now different couriers have different weight and size limits. However for just rims size should should not be an issue.

Weight limits are typically 25 or 30 Kg per Parcel. So you need to know the weight of an individual rim plus say 1-2 kg for packaging to give you an idea of number of parcels.

Carton size will be about 45 x 45 x 23 for one rim or 45 x 45 x 45 for two rims. Have a look at sites such as Interparcel if you can not get hold of Dave.

I’ve had good experiences with the shiply.com site recently. Just enter what you need moving along with the source and destination postcodes, and lots of couriers will bid for the work.

Yes, I came across that site and I have put the details in. I am awaiting the quotes to come in. Did'nt think it would be this hard to get rims from there to here!!! Thanks for the info...the more the merrier Mr. Green 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

Welcome to the world of international transaction/courier problems.

If ebay then do a search for wheel couriers. Not sure if they do international.

It all depends on seller being willing to package the alloy wheels correctly.
