Water Leak
Hi Lads

New to this forum (just spent hours reading many of the posts - one of the best defender forums i've seen!).

Just wondered how many owners of '07 & '08 defenders have had problems with water leaks from the big seal between the lower rear tub and the side panels? Has the design of this seal been slightly changed from previous models?

My '08 110 County Hard Top has spent more time at the dealers than in my drive. Only got it in September and it has already had all of the side rivets replaced, roof & side panels removed and re-sealed, and it's still leaking.
Is it really fixable???? Rapidly loosing faith in Land Rover and considering rejecting the vehicle.

Cheers!

Hi and welcome to the site. Well my opinion is that Ford got involved and cheapened all the parts and the new Defender has suffered because of this. Not much help I know, all I can suggest is to keep your dealer on your side and keep on at land rover until its fixed.

Hi hoarder

Welcome to the forum.

We had a leaking in the passenger side, was fixed by the dealer, but I didnt have the possibility to check it yet (summer here = not rain). I don't have any leaking problems in the side panels. So, must be fixeable.

I remember a friend that had a similar problem in the rear part but not in the side.
