PUMA 10AS caught on fire...
Hi guys,,
So today the 10AS Unit in my defender caught on fire.. its the alarm black box located below the steering colum above the speaker on driver side...
actually not fire but it produce lots of smoke.
the upper middle three pins on the grey plug and short circuited on the black box...

should I replace the unit? my understanding is that its not exactly a 10AS but a updated one...

please help

What Year model is your Defender as their has been problems this side of the pond with the 10AS.

Hi Legin,
its a MY13 defender.

say the alarm module is blown,,,what are my options?

I am thinking of permanently disable the 10AS...by using nanocom

My 90 is a 13 year model and there seem to be a problem with the early type of key fob just before the change over to the all in one type involving the 10AS box ,I had my 90 sorted out Chris at CSK email him and hopefully he can help you.
