Boomslang Loom replacement relay
Hi all, I’ve check the forum and don’t think anyone else has asked the same question yet.
I’ve had a Boomslang loom fitted for a couple of years and it’s been brilliant, fit and forget, until this week when I noticed that the dipped headlights didn’t always come on when I tried to turn them on. After replacing the switch I checked the earth connections on the loom, which were fine, and then checked the relays. One of the relays looked like it had been on the sea bed for a couple of years. I swapped the relays over and the dipped headlights worked, but not the full beams.

So now I am trying, and so far failing, to find a replacement relay. It’s a H4458-12VDC. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where to get one from?
Thanks, Ben

That looks like a standard 30amp changeover relay. I don't think the 'H4458' is useful here, as it appears on both 4 and 5 pin relays.

Here is a picture of the diagram on the current relays, interestingly one is 4 pin and the other is 5 pin and only 4 of the pins are used.
