loose injector possibly can you feel them moving DEFENDER 90 TDCI XS,

Yes..it's bouncing up and down.
Tried to start the car and it fired up but didn't sound happy starting |

if you have some tools whip the cover off and tighten the retaining bolt a bit to get you home DEFENDER 90 TDCI XS,

As above ^^^
You need an 8mm socket or spanner, just nip the clamp bolt up, which is under the black plastic cover between the two injectors. That should sort it and get you home. 80" 80" 86" 88" 90" Wanted, Forward Control Anything considered. |

Thanks guys... unfortunately don't have any tools and I'm on my way to Birmingham for a couple of days.
I'll have to call out roadside assistance...I think i voted in the poll on that too! |

... Well, you're not alone.
Google 'defender2.net puma loose injector bolt clamp' or similar, lots of discussion, the basics are: nip them up to get home, get new bolts, don't go threadlocking them, best to get the seals replaced too. Solved the bowel problem, working on the consonants... |

That's exactly what it is too! I've spoken to the dealer and they have been really helpful. They are going to send me new bolts and if I can I'll do the seals too. Thanks for the help...especially the quick replies when I was stuck in the services! |
