Urgent ... Tapping!
Currently in a services on the M1.

Loud tapping not the usual engine noise so I pulled over.

Had a look under the bonnet and it seems to be coming from the area closest to where the oil filler cap is.

Any advice right now appreciated as I have a long way to go!

As above ^^^

You need an 8mm socket or spanner, just nip the clamp bolt up, which is under the black plastic cover between the two injectors.

That should sort it and get you home. Thumbs Up 80" 80" 86" 88" 90"

Wanted, Forward Control Anything considered.

Thanks guys... unfortunately don't have any tools and I'm on my way to Birmingham for a couple of days.

I'll have to call out roadside assistance...I think i voted in the poll on that too!

Censored ... Well, you're not alone. Thumbs Up

Google 'defender2.net puma loose injector bolt clamp' or similar, lots of discussion, the basics are: nip them up to get home, get new bolts, don't go threadlocking them, best to get the seals replaced too. Solved the bowel problem, working on the consonants...

Much appreciated!

That's exactly what it is too! I've spoken to the dealer and they have been really helpful.

They are going to send me new bolts and if I can I'll do the seals too.

Thanks for the help...especially the quick replies when I was stuck in the services!
