Took time out to have lunch with Mr Mud at his premises. Culinary delights were sampled at the cafe / restaurant and I left with a full hopper Razz
We're hoping to keep things simple on the day so looking at pie and peas (Kev says there'll be a vegatarian option - peas).
The location is stunning with far reaching views but those that suffer from altitude sickness may need medication.

Can't be doing with altitude. We don't do hills in Lincolnshire but we do grow a lot of peas so like Greeni we'll just have pie and pies. Defender 90XS SW

I was telling Kev that when I was19 in the winter of 1991 I was working up near Stoodley Pike on the externals of an old property. The story was the home owner had killed her husband with a shotgun.

As well as the cracking café, there are also two cracking breweries up there too! Sadly neither has a shop or brewery tap on site, but that wouldn't work with driving anyway. Euro-Leafing to infinity and beyond.....

Just to resurrect - I've spoken with Kev at Mud today and he has very generously offered to buy lunch for all those that attend (upto a maximum of 500 attendees Laughing )
With the date fast approaching we would be grateful to ascertain definate numbers of those attending. Meet up time will be mid morning to allow time to look around the Mud premises followed by lunch.
Look forward to seeing you all there.

Well it would be rude not to take part in Kev’s kind offer by Barbara and myself. Yes the views from the ex turkey farm are good, local cafe does decent grub as well Thumbs Up
