After getting in last night at midnight from being out all day ferrying stranded people back to their homes, we got up this morning to find that mother nature had put the stop on us going out again today...

The ice on the Landy isn't the issue, it's the 1" of pure ice all over the roads and hill outside my house

Last night's view of the lane upto my house

Staying in today! Thumbs Up

Hello Badger110

Good call...

Censored cold here in West Berkshire which is down to the wind mainly,
Snow for us is generally not much more than tread depth apart from a few drifts,
definitely feeling we have escaped so far, compared to the rest of the country...

Badger it is just like that here, I have at least 6mm of ice over the whole Defender, I've not seen anything like it for maybe 25 years here. Untreated roads are very hooky without chains.

I haven't been out in it, nor do I intend to really.
Too many idiots that are a risk to themselves and everyone else.

I find that a lot of the idiot drivers tend to be driving 4 x 4's with either a propellor badge or a set of olympic rings with one missing. They don't seem to realise that whilst you have traction then you're 4x4 will perform better than anything else on the road (except a John Deere and a Defender) but once you hit the brakes then it performs like Elise Christie. Defender 90XS SW
