Well done to all the farmers, helping out FOC!
However, credit to Suffolk CC, our village was cut off both ends by drifting snow ⛄ until the snow ploughs came through. I thought many of the farmers were paid for the work they did?

Not a daft reply perhaps. You need at least 50mm of snow to plough, otherwise you risk damage to the vehicle/plough.

I'm not sure if some do, but I know several that just do it for free. ^^ Some of the farmers around us are provided with snowploughs and paid by the council to go out as required. There's a lot that just do it out of kindness however. 2005 Td5 110 Hardtop

Kirklees council wouldn’t let farmers or JCB owners do any snow clearing ( H and S )

Aberdeenshire council with the use of local farmers have been doing a great job of keeping our lanes open. Tractor's down the roads at least once an hour.

I just don't think he had his ticket for it or it didn't work! Since then have had further 6-8", and snow ploughs running the road every 30-60mins up until last night. Cheers
