United Kingdom 2009 Defender 130 Puma 2.4 HCPU Stornoway Grey
[For Sale] Series 3 88" SWB genuine county
I ought to start by stating that this s3 is currently in pieces awaiting rebuild, here's the background
"Leonard" as he's known was owned by a mate of mine who had an itch for a series landy, he bought Leonard in a complete, running and road registered condition. He ran Leonard for several months and then decided to dismantle him to tackle the bulkhead rot and a patch of welding required under the rear tub. I don't know why he fully dismatled Leonard, anyway once he'd had, he got bored and left Leonard spread around my workshop, I git fed up moving bits out the way and offered to buy him. All this happened in Jan 2014, I've stored Leonard since then but realising Iii never get round to rebuilding him I've decided to pass him over fir someone else to undertake

Here's the pros and cons:
Pros:
Rare seven seater proper station wagon
Nice 2.25 diesel, ran very well
Already dismantled saving you a few days on the road to rebuild
Replacement reasonable bulkhead included (has had new foot wells welding in but very badly, I'd cut them out and do it again
Running on standard series wheels, the 8 spokes went Thumbs Up

Cons
All the usual associated with rebuilding a 40 year old landy
Has 2a gearbox which occasionally jumped out of 3rd or 4th
All the internal bits and engine have been stored undercover be under no illusion that rebuilding something you didn't dismantle isn't easy unless you know your series Landies!

All in all this was a hearty little landy that didn't need a full restoration just a bit of tic, when my series died on Salisbury plain he towed me 20 miles without a hitch!

I'm looking for £1500 but open to sensible discussion
