Went to search for an intermittent oil leak and checked the workshop manual for removal of the undershield,.....since it would’t slide out after removing bolts.
Seriously? You need to disconnect the front drive shaft to remove the plastic under tray? Is there a modification to make them more easily removed when needed? Patrick |

I seem to remember (before I threw mine away) if you can jack the front up high enough so both wheels can drop fully on the suspension, then you can wiggle the tray out. It's not too hard if you have a lift but can be done on stands. Ray

I'm fairly sure they were fitted on all Td5's from new, something to do with "drive-by noise" regulations, soon got left off after an oil change or wiped out while off-roading though.

Possibly all station wagon variants but I know for a fact that my pickup didn't come with one from the factory 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

Mine had one. I think some elements of it remain, some are possibly in a puddle on Salisbury plain...

All the fixing bolts are still there but the tray slowly disintegrated over the first couple of months of ownership. For a while I did have a short branch wedged in the gearbox crossmember holding it in place before the next trip to a Pay and Play site. That was the day it got put in the back
