Anyone know the spring rates of the original springs fitted to a td5 90 csw?

Hi. I believe they were 175llb on the front and 225llbs on the rear. This would be standard duty. The HD versions would have had dual rated springs on the rear, something like 210/240llb.
There is a good website called Red90.ca IIRC that has the part numbers as well. |

That could have been me. I picked these up after they were removed from a delivery mileage 90 Adventure. According to the colours they are HD and are 'firm' when fitted to my much more basic 90, but not unduly so.

Just cropped his out of a picture on my phone, it would appear it has heavy duties on it as standard going by colour.
I'm thinking about putting 110 fronts on the rear 155/215 dual rate and putting disco 150 springs on the front with some remote res fox shocks on the rear (picked up on eBay this weekend), single tube fox shocks up front and a heavier anti roll bar than standard. Wanting more comfort and less roll, whilst maintaining standard height. I rarely load my bus up and if I do it's just full of 7 people pottering around. I'll have to see what rate my front springs are as it may be worth putting the 110 dual rate 155/215 springs front and rear Click image to enlarge |
