I've never been a great fan of Hardy fly rods myself.
I have a couple of rods built by Stan Massey one of the best rod builders in the UK.

I’d love a custom rod. To be honest, I’d love a custom barbel rod rather than a fly rod (couldn’t do it justice).

Oh, and a bespoke shotgun whilst we’re at it....

....and Kylie Minogue in lingerie draped across a crate of real ale....

Fishing with a shotgun sounds fun. Or maybe go full hillbilly and also use TNT.

Mrs H bought me the Kylie calendar the year she (Kylie, sadly) did the advert for Agent Provocateur. Purely for research purposes it is worth a trip to YouTube, a really well done advert, great lighting, blah..
