I have been in Fife for many years. Didn't realise that there was such a formal system in place elsewhere.
The Red Cross used to provide emergency cover in Fife. I was a volunteer driver, and they had a register of 4x4 owners so they could be called upon when necessary. It is a few years since I was on duty, so may be worth checking if this service is still provided. Perhaps this may explain the absence of a group in Fife. If there is a need for a group, then I am certain there would be plenty of support, including myself. |

Initially I got involved this week helping my wifes colleagues get to and from Kirkcaldy.
From my limited research It appears that each region is it's own charity/organisation with a mgmt committee etc. Perhaps getting people to take on these roles is the big issue. As a Dad as well as a Cub & Scout leader my time is already stretched I would be reluctant to take on a mgmt/trustee role so can see the difficulties they face. However more than happy to sign up on a register and work with others to improve my skills to be able to help more. Keith |
