A test for the Adventure aficionados out there...
It's been on the market for months (well at least since Sep 17), not unlike a lot of the high priced Adventures out there. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/142556021892?Vi...2556021892 Click image to enlarge Current Steeds: 2015 110 UW in Grasmere Green 2003 BMW F650 the Hack 2000 Elise 1992 Ducati 888 (no longer in bits, yahoo) 1990 TDR 250 (in bits again) 1988 TDR 250 (no longer in bits) and for sale |

The steering wheel also is a poor copy of a real Adventure version. The real Adventure wheel has leather all over the two spokes and in between, this one not. The Adventure has a leather clad handbrake handle, this one not. The Adventure has totally different gear and tranny box knobs, with metal on the top part, this one is just leather and also misses the two white rings under the knobs. The Adventure passenger grab handle is fully leather, but also has those two plugs to hide the screws, this one not. Those little plugs are an obsolete item since long already, how do I know?
This truck here clearly has nothing to do with a real Adventure edition. Eric You never actually own a Defender. +1 for the caps, I'm missing one too.
There's a couple more non Adventure items to spot! But I have to admit I didn't spot the steering wheel. Right you are, just noted that also those front seats have nothing to do with real Adventure seats. The Adventure seats have the old style LR logo embossed in the upper part of the leather. And this 90 here does not have Adventure mudflaps either. A real Adventure has the old style LR logo on all four mudflaps, this one here only has the usual oval on the rear mudflaps.
Good order sake, here in this country the genuine Adventure edition could be ordered either with those sill protectors, or with black side steps. Now as to those little caps, I'd buy two, left and right, if someone wants to sell them. Eric You never actually own a Defender. The wrong premium seat logo, and it’s at the top of the seat on the proper Adventure premium seats. Plus the proper carpet mats, mine are put away safety, have been since day one.
ericvv, You beat me to it, but I missed the mud flaps. Ashbyandy Edit, I bet someone with a 3D printer could make some for us, and make them so they don’t fall off 🤣🤣 |

I have been in communication with the seller, firstly by eBay messaging then a telephone call. He assured me it is genuine when we first exchanged messages, when I then highlighted the items previous posters on this thread raised that weren’t correct he went very quiet, however when we spoke over the phone today, he rang me as I said I would report him to eBay for his misleading description he then told me that someone stole the mudflaps, door cards, mats, steering wheel, gear sticks and the seats so he replaced them with as near as possible items but assured me on the V5 it is an Adventure model !!
He was adamant he was selling a genuine Adventure model, after my interactions with him I would avoid him at all costs. 2015 HT XS 90 2008 SVX 90 2000 XS TD5 90 |

You can call them back, telling them that they forgot to inform you that also the Nolden LED headlights which are standard on an Adventure apparently were stolen, and ask them then why they did not replace those by another set like for like Noldens which are readily available from Brendan, but instead installed a set of what looks like an older generation Speaker LEDs. Probably they are not even real Speakers, but a cheap Chinese copy of those.
No doubt in all their efforts, those fake Speakers probably were the nearest possible replacement for Nolden they could find. Scumbags. Eric You never actually own a Defender.
