2 or an early 2a, the seats, steering wheel and hood sticks are worth a few bob on their own.

if you can remove the bits that are worth a few quid, then do so. No point in leaving them on there. Also looks like another Piece of history has been dumped too on top of it, ( looks like an old Honda going by the wheel) Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

Reg number not coming up on the dvla database so guess it was never put on the 'new' system in the early 80s.
With that reg & a few other pointers I'd go with a series 2? |

^^ I'll try to remember that and be open-minded when someone decides to "save" my bonnet and doors during the night!

I am sure there is a text messaging service that you can use to see if its reported stolen. That's if the plate is still on it. I was watching a video on youtube about people getting their stolen cars back, after a 20 plus years. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

Makes me sad to see that! I’d say from the steering wheel it’s older than mine!
That Magnatex indicator switch is a pricey item to find secondhand. 2021 Defender 110 X-Dynamic HSE D300 MHEV 1966 S2a 109 aka Betsy |

With the Magnatex and centre horn push that makes it more likely to be IIA. 1995 Defender 110 CSW
