2Kw in a small tent would be very 'toasty'.
I don't know the Planar system, does it have a good reputation for long running? I see it is used for marine applications so it should be robust. This system looks to take the ambient air straight in with no filter or weather protection which maybe a challenge in dusty or very wet applications, does anybody have any experience? We do a lot of water sports and have often fantasised of having a warm changing room, especially in winter, this could be the answer. |

The Planar units are very similar to the Eberspaecher and Air Top heaters - so well proven design. The one I have fitted in my 110 works very well and is very quiet after reaching heat, and seems to be quiet economical.
My only recommendation would be to look at the way the wind is blowing to keep the exhaust away from your tent/awning.
