Don't quote me exactly but I think the MAF code you have is a nuisance.
Often caused by the EGR, despite the new EGR it could already be caked up. Around 2.5k rpm sounds like the EGR sticking open, or at least being sticky. It's known to create other diagnostic codes also to appear related to another. There is also injector performance also to consider. Have you tried Millers diesel fuel additive? Give that a go and see how that goes, and if there is a difference. I run this all th time. ⭐️⭐️God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 ⭐️⭐️ |

Thanks Steve,
The new egr is less than a month old. I have resently change the injector seals and copper washers. This had improved the engine running around town etc. Have not tried millers. Have used the redex one a couple of tanks ago with no different results |

I would give it a go, if nothing else you'll get a little better power.
Smoother idle, and will clean things though including the injectors. Nothing to lose for the cost. I take it the air filter is in good condition, not damp or overly soiled? (I am sure you've checked anyway). I changed EGR myself, and I had issues with it again just 5 or 6 months later. I was so annoyed I got a tune, I was very glad I did for multiple reasons and cured the issue. As you found changing the injector washers seemed to improve things, I would hazard a guess that the issue may be related. The Turbo code could well be thrown out of parameters electronically expected, generally causing poor driving characteristics. I would try the additive, and just see how that goes first. After that, I'd consider inspecting to getting the injectors tested as a possibity. It has been known for a single injector to be at fault before, and DTC's don't always show up in all cases dependant on the problem concerned. ⭐️⭐️God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 ⭐️⭐️ |

The one shot Comma one is pretty good too. Halfords do it for about £6

I got a similar combo of fault codes when one of the MAF connector pins had been pushed out of its seating thereby making the 'IAT1' (ambient intake temperature sensor in the MAF) not read properly. Perhaps not relevant to you as I didn't experience any noticeable loss of power, however with no proper input the ECU defaulted to temps that were deep in the negatives, which couldn't have been helpful as it was high summer at the time.
Anyway, as it'll only take 2 minutes I suggest having a look at the MAF's connector (the male part on the loom) and making sure the pins are still proud and shiny. Solved the bowel problem, working on the consonants... |

Thanks for the advice will have a look.
Sure i looked into this before and all was okay. The air intake temperature was reading 11degrees, this was taken from the fault code reader. |

Think its fixed!
Just changed the vcv and running much better. Nice idle and no power loss on a short journey. Need to do the pump relearn, how quickly do i need to get that done? A friends snapon device did not have the option. Feels like just unleashed some lost horses!! |

Thought it was fixed
Pete at BAS believes it could be a sticky turbo when getting hot. Does anyone know my options can this be cleaned? Carbon clean work? Or replacement turbo. Car running sweet now just get a turbo overboost error on long journeys |

I'd try the 'speed' on a motorway option, just because it's free and it might work. I've never had an engine that doesn't appreciate a bit of effort now and then.
