Won't need a winch fella. If you do then you've taken some risks that single vehicle should have been avoided.
If you download the Gaia app which I love to bits, I can send you the GPX files to use with full route. 1951 80" S1 2.0 1995 110 300TDI 1995 90 300TDI |

Anytime. Still our best ever trip with the vehicle and opens your mind to overlanding and what the standard Defender can do.
We're going to Morocco for 3 weeks this year as the Pyrenees wet our appetite.... 1951 80" S1 2.0 1995 110 300TDI 1995 90 300TDI |

Your trip will be amazing, I’ve just looked at Gaia app is it the £19.99. I’m addicted to watching the you tube videos about the Pyrenees as it looks amazing and after seeing your photos last year aswell.

worth getting the Vibractino road books, and they will then send you a GPX file too.
Excellent trip - we did one end to the other, some tough bits but nothing too extreme - did it with kids and dogs no worries. Take a mobile phone, decent toolkit, and you'll be fine. |

How does the Gaia app work? Does it need 4G? Just Wifi? Nothing? Monsieur Le Grenadier I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list..... 2011 Puma 110DC - Corris Grey |

Wild camping is not allowed in Spain especially in the Pyrenees.
I know with a camper you can wild camp in portugal. And in the north of portugal you can drive almost anywhere off road. a defender from 1984 pretending to be a puma with a touch of Range Rover |

Have been trying it out myself and it is very good so far, If you use the free version then you will need data to loads the maps. But if you purchase it then you can download the maps at home so you don't need data on the road |
