Also there are bike co-ops around the country who buy used bikes Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed! |

Wooooo. I don’t think I’m “pink bike” level. Just had a look and they are thousands. I’m talking a few hundred.
No co op near me, but I’m just looking into that one Thanks all for your input |

I would try here and other groups. Whilst I see you don't use facebook, they do have "buy and sell" groups locally so you can at least restrict the advert...Maybe ask someone else to list for you? Oh and Gumtree of course. Defender "Puma" 2.4 110 County Utility (possibly the last of the 2.4's)

NOTE TO ALL:
If you have a bike that you do not use, NOW is a good time to sell, the whole bike trade are struggling for stock (and have been the past 3-4 months) due to the lockdown public getting on their bikes and buying the UK's stocks. |

So would eBay be the best current place, as biggest market?

There's lots of other avenues I suppose if you don't want use ebay, ebay for me is becoming a pain, so try local shop advertising boards, friends, forums etc first.

try putting up a card in your local supermarket or village/ local shop window, maybe somebody local with a teenager’s birthday coming up looking for a nice bike. It’s amazing what sells from a postcard in a local shop window - I sold all my old kitchen units and the old fridge and freezer that way - postcard was only up for 48 hours. Somebody wanted old fitted units for their garage and somebody who was fitting a granny flat out took the perfectly good fridge and freezer. May try sticking it out the front with a note on it over the weekend and see if I get any interest. Too good to just give away or leave to rust in the garage.
Wife does Facebook so that is also an option. Thanks all for your thoughts. 👍🏻 |
