United Kingdom 2014 Defender 90 Puma 2.2 XS CSW Aintree Green
A little bird informed me that this will be offered by LR in the coming months. Wink It's supposed to be plug and play and not overly expensive when compared to a double din setup.

While I like the idea of an integrated system, the double din is a bit much for me and feel this is a great way of keeping it OEM.

I understand the comments of it being lower but of all the years I have used navigation, it's the audio and integration bit that I find useful.

I'll be sure to provide an update/review once I get my hands on one unless of course someone tries it out first in a 70th.

It doesn't make any sense......

Why the hell would you want a stereo when there's a v8 up front ?

JVC aren't too bad at all, I have a JVC now. (Different to that model).
And for the price I paid I was surprised how good it sounded.

JVC are part of the Kenwood group / corp. No Guts, No Glory.

A quick Google suggests Becker were bought by Harman (of Harman-Kardon), who were then bought by Samsung.

As a couple have mentioned already, I think it's bad enough looking down that low when using SatNav, on a double din let alone at such a small screen. I'd prefer flip up if I went down the route of Head Unit integrated SatNav, so it brings it up to vent height. But as I use the head unit only for Spotify, controlled by my older iPad, I agree with Eric's sentiments that a quality, stand alone SatNav on the Dash, 6"/7", would work best. Nestled into the pen tray on the Dash.

However, if there was ever an option to integrate the SatNav into the clocks as per my wife's TT (awesome bit of tech) that would be best Thumbs Up

Obviously highly unlikely, but something small and integrated into the clocks like Porsche would be good.

The screen is a lot far away from the line of vision for sat nav too.
