Yes, there is a bleed screw and a bleed procedure in the WSM.
It's not over complicated at all but it is in the manual which you really need. It was a couple of years ago so won't give you guesstimate details as I can't quite remember what was involved. ⭐️⭐️God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 ⭐️⭐️ |

I struggled to get it to bleed using WSM procedure, could not get the engine hot enough. Had to take it for a drive and keep pulling over to check the level. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

Cornishbob - Yes, that's right. Do you still want me to see if I can find the pages?
Bluest - Same here, I done the WSM proceedure to the best I could. Then drive it as normal and keep a close eye on the fluid level so sorted then in next to no time. Trying to get up to temp this time of year won't work being cold unless driven, so I would recommend doing the WSM method. Then driving and checking. ⭐️⭐️God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 ⭐️⭐️ |

the workshop manual procedure is just to get it hot enough to have the thermostat open. Sticking a bit of carpet over the front grill will help too as the fan sucks cold air through the rad as the viscous fans never fully disengage.
