I'm in the middle of solving a similar problem, having fitted a late rear door to my '92 90. It's really not straightforward as the later setup has a relay mounted on the door to carry out some of the switching and the switch itself on the original vehicle isn't the simple on/off affair of earlier vehicles.

thanks - i found that link over the weekend and read it numerous times - if the answers there i cant see it let alone understand it lol - especially as the wiring colours on the motor are different again from the TD5.

I know what you mean. I've now got copies of the original and later wiring diagrams so that I can work through them and come up with my own solution. I specifically don't want to alter the wiring loom on the door so want tor work out what I need to provide from the vehicle to make it work. Darren
