Trip to northern Spain
Am planning 10 days in northern Spain crossing to Santander from Plymouth. Interested in any routes and sites as plan to head south and west through national parks then go to surf beaches on norther coast. Be nice to do some forest trails. May get into northern Portugal.

All suggestions and experiences welcome

Perhaps not what you’re after, but I would highly recommend a day or two San Sebastián. A wonderful small city, not far from your ferry. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

Hi David,

When are you going? We’re booked for middle of July to Santander, driving East to the Pyrenees then down through the Pyrenees to the Med. I know you’re going West but in N.E. Spain Pamplona is well worth a look, lots to see, if you go in early July there is the famous bull running.

Thx Chris my dates are 17-28 June as I can get away before the school holidays and it heats up too much!!!

SWMBO works part time in a school so we are bound by the school holidays, going the Sunday before school kicks out and we have to get back before they start again in September! Still, 6 weeks isn’t too bad Thumbs Up
