How anyone can damage a chassis using Jate Rings, then I am sorry but you are being stupid the way you are undertaking your recoveries, with no mechanical sympathy - end of.
If it's that bad then it needs digging out and your recovery methods thinking about - otherwise you are going to damage more than your Jate Rings - I.e. Rip Major steering or suspension components off |

Well, for a start itโs not stupidity, the Defender was bought and is used as intended, we enjoy testing our & there abilities whilst having fun. When I say a few recoveries I donโt mean slipped off the side of the road and needing a gentle tug out......I mean stuck.

You are surely not blaming a set of JATE rings for damaging your chassis are you?

Agree those look great and are in a easy to reach position. I would have them installed already a long time ago if only they would not conflict with my soft A-bar (which won't remove by the way). Eric You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation. http://youtu.be/yVRlSsJwD0o https://youtu.be/vmPr3oTHndg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GtzTT9Pdl0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABqKPz28e6A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLZ49Jce_n0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvAsz_ilQYU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8tMHiX9lSw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dxwjPuHIV7I https://vimeo.com/201482507 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSixqL0iyHw |

Is there a way to easily mount one of the Nakatenga recovery eyes to a round bumper?
If it canโt be done then it could be a good excuse to sell getting a new winch bumper to the Mrs though! |

Eric - Never having had an OE bumper myself, could those not be mounted below the bumper instead?
Or am I missing something with the mounting there? Nickbristol - Not really imo, but I'd definitely look at FF or D44 winch bumpers. The crucial thing to think of in this thread is there are multiple offerings here, light duty, heavy duty. Boils down to personal choice and intended usage.

Exactly - the British Army seem to cope admirably well with tens of thousands of Land Rovers. And before any clever clogs gives me the history of Jate Rings I am well aware of their original purpose! |

The issue isn't with JATE Rings then but a knackered rusted out chassis. |
