New Starter needed .. which make?
Hi

My starter motor finally gave up leaving me stranded at the weekend and going home on the back of a recovery lorry.

I need to buy a new starter but which make? Pricing ranging from about £100 for Britpart up to an eye watering amount for a genuine one.

What should I avoid? Britpart, Bearmach?

Thanks 2008 Defender 110 XS SW - M57N2 / 6HP28X

Can you not get the current one reconditioned? Around £60-£70 I'd guess depending on local prices.

Bosch is most likely standard anyway, a few parts from the factory such as the MAP are made by Bosch. No Guts, No Glory.

Well that wasn’t easy .. too many pipes in the way making it difficult to get the starter .. all done though and the speed it cranks over makes me think the old one was on its way out for ages. 2008 Defender 110 XS SW - M57N2 / 6HP28X
