Yes and literally a 5 minute walk from my home......... /
If you ever get a chance to go to an open day (occasional Sundays and not widely advertised) take it. An amazing setup which includes all of the bodywork and engineering plus an amazing stock of cars and bikes. A few years ago I visited and my choice would have been a mini rally car dating from the 1960's. It was 4 wheel drive - an engine in the front and back. Made by the factory, twin linked gearboxes, rev counters in the dash. Fantastic. 2010 XS USW 1957 Series One 88 diesel 1958 Series One 88 4x2 |

Reflecting on my original post then, if I was in the market to spend something like £70K on one of JLR's shiny restored Series One's then I would much prefer to spend £52K on this splendid unrestored Series 1.
