Drill out the rivets, remove the drip rail, and seal the holes.
(Been there, done that!) |

Thanks Blackwolf. I was a bit reluctant to make more holes in the cab having had to work hard to get it (mostly) dry, but drilling the rivers seems like the best way.
What’s best to seal the holes up with? |

Best way is to use another blind rivet to seal the hole, but make sure you use the sealed versions LR use not the cheap ones that will let water through.

Depends if you think you'll ever want to refit the tilt frame. If definitely never, sealed breakstem fasteners (rivets), if you think you might, then an M5 machine screw with a nyloc and a dab of sealant. Alternatively I whacked a small square of Gorilla tape over each hole as a temporary measure, and 7 years later they're still doing a great job.

Ta! Drilling out the rivets it is then and then screw and nylon bolt.
