Jeremy/Brendan,
Is the 4x4 Overlander visit still on the day’s itinerary? |

To carry forward the charitable theme of previous events Brendan and Barbara will be donating a raffle prize at breakfast. Tickets for this are £5 each and the total money raised will go to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

I note that Greeni is only attending if the weather is decent. WHAT? And here was me thinking that Defenders could cope with adverse weather.
I suppose he's worried about putting down all that raw power from his V8 in the snow. Hope you can make it Greeni, it will be nice to see the ugly sisters together again. Defender 90XS SW Mini Countryman Cooper S Morgan Plus 8 |

What Barbara and I have decided to donate a spare wheel protector. Winner can choose between a Defender or Discovery version. If the winner does not require one, within reason we might substitute prize. No cash alternative.
As far as I am aware if we draw the raffle on same day as sell tickets we will be legal. Brendan |

Brendan,
Under the Gambling Act 2005, what you are proposing is referred to as an "incidental non commercial lottery". As long as all the tickets are sold at the event and the draw takes place at the event then it complies with the act and would not require a licence. Thanks DM
Barbara thought it was something like that. We have been asked to do a raffle instead of the Christmas charity auction. Barbara just says it is too complicated to do one without falling foul of the law. Thanks for confirming we are ok. Brendan |

It's Mrs G that can't cope with adverse weather in the V8! (Lack of lower door seals, the refusal of rolling the sides down...the odd water leak in the footwell, the driver wanting to drift around every bend on crappy tyres etc etc) |
