If you keep killing batteries then it's probably worth looking at your usage pattern or some sort of residual drain on the battery when it's off. Consider plugging into a ctek charger if it's left standing for long periods.
In terms of battery, there's no real right or wrong for a defender, as long as it fits! I think I have a 100Ah 830A in my TD5, but as long as the capacity and cranking amps are equal or higher than what it's meant to have, should be fine. Bosch silvers are good, I have a yuasa cargo which is good too. |

Thanks, much of the issue is down to lack of use I suspect, I have other cars that sit on CTEK chargers so know the value of them.
Unfortunately where this one sits there isnt any power. Once I have a new battery, I suspect a battery cut off switch is the way forward !! Phib |
