Found it.
Its on the front cover behind the drive belts. It is just a sticky label that is peeling off and is very hard to read. It seems strange that there is no permanent stamp on the block. |

It'll be stamped on there somewhere i expect. It's probably just impossible to see without stripping down the engine. The label is just there to put it in a more accessible place so they can scan it on the production line - ie. so they can track the engine along the line at Dagenham and so they know which unit goes in which car at Solihull.

Think the 2.2s are stamped on the block behind the high pressure pump?
As above, all blocks are stamped from factory aswel as a sticker. Ford never seem to follow a pattern, the old Duratorques were in various locations depending on the year. 80" 80" 86" 88" 90" Wanted, Forward Control Anything considered. |
