Luckily they are cheaper here in Switzerland. Start at only 1199CHF, which makes it the equivalent of only £920.
I'd just need 4 in total to please the family. Guess we will continue for a little while longer with our sixesses. Eric You never actually own a Defender. My old Nokia which I had for work years ago was brilliant, fantastic battery life, withstood the knocks of daily life and you could actually make a telephone call with it. Simple robust, what's not to like?

Does it come with a really belligerent attitude and a set of retractable adamantium claws? Rhubarb and custard let fly with their secret weapon.

I don't understand all the fuss about the 1k price tag? All the older iphones with simillar storage weren't far off that price when new and this one has a much more expensive screen and way more powerful a11 chip. Plus the majority of people won't be paying 1k up front, it'll just be a monthly contract. Ray

As of this month went back to a iPhone 6 after a few years 6S. The 6 has a much slower processor surely it now appears, very noticeable when opening apps.
With my subscription I can upgrade for the same few cents to either a new 7 with 128gb or to an 8 with 64gb. 64gb is plenty for my needs, so is a 8 really better/faster than the 7? True. With contracts/tick some folk are already paying more for their phones. Pricing is ridiculous though. Especially when you consider an iPhone only costs £150 to manufacture. |

Trust me if I was able to have the same level of production to sale costs with farming I would. As a business model I can't fault apple for isolating a market sector and milking it to within an inch of death. You can shear a sheep every year, you can only cut it's throat once. The last one was £800 ish and with in a week they were going for £600.
Get yourself a 0% credit card, buy it outright on that along with a SIM only contract and I bet there you you can settle the balance and it being cheaper too. Not sure what APR most are running on mobile company contracts but I bet it's a least 18% - 39.9%. I'm happy with my older one for now, but they are very tempting. I find it very annoying how quickly models are changed for new though. No Guts, No Glory. 🇬🇧ðŸ´ó §ó ¢ó ¥ó ®ó §ó ¿ðŸ´ó §ó ¢ó ·ó ¬ó ³ó ¿ðŸ´ó §ó ¢ó ³ó £ó ´ó ¿ðŸ‡®ðŸ‡ªðŸ‡ºðŸ‡¸â›½ï¸ðŸ›¢ï¸âš™ï¸ðŸ§°ðŸ’ª |

This discussion is way beyond me.
Until they invent a phone that can make toast - and butter it - I'm not interested. |

If you work out how much time you spend on your phone, the X is reasonable value IMHO
