I've inadvertantly coverted my 110usw into a 3 seater
I've dropped 2 of the back seats (simply folded down the backs) and now they won't go back up cos the seat belt has jammed on the middle seat preventing it from folding back up ......any thoughts please?

How irritating.

How about undoing the upper mount bolt? should be just a plastic cap over the head of the bolt. 17/19mm IIRC.

Good luck

thanks for the note. unfortunately this is the middle seat / seat belt that's causing the problem and as such I don't think what you've suggested is an option. Crying or Very sad

blo*dy annoying. supposed to be giving someone a lift later too.

Ok, same advice then but the lower seat belt mount. Thumbs Up It will either be a nut under the floor panel or a bolt and captive nut.

Out of interest what age Defender is it?

I struggle with our middle seats sometimes although sounds a different issue. I generally find walking away and trying again another day works Thumbs Up James

Well our 300 TDi CSW has gone from a 12 seater to a perrmanent 2 seater.

Our 2015 110 USW has gone from 5 seats to 2 seats.

Well it has gone from a 5 seater to a 2 seater as someone had a need to borrow the three seats in the back. if things go to plan it will be going back to a 5 seater.

thanks guys - sorted.

IRB & co removed the seat base and removed the seat belt anchor point which released the seatbelt and hence got the seat back up.

it would appear that the little plastic thing on the seatbelt which I can only assume is to prevent the belt retracting too far got stuck somehow / somewhere around where it retracts into the seat?

like I say sorted now. I think the answer is to introduce some slack before dropping the seat backs Thumbs Up

what a fiddle.....just like the rest of the car Very Happy
