Does anyone know where I may be able to find a Webasto Install kit for a Thermo Top C for a LHD Defender? Who is a reliable supplier in the UK or Europe for kits?
There is very little support out here in Western Canada for Webasto products, specifically an install kit. Easy enough to find the unit, but the bit's and bobs to install into a LHD Defender are like hen's teeth. ![]() my renovation thread: http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic40792.html |

Webasto part number for LHD Td5 installation kit is 67502A - site sponsor Advanced Factors list it but as an LR part. Check with them what it is: https://www.advancedfactors.co.uk/67502a-k...5854-p.asp ![]() ![]() |

Thanks bpman. The bracket is only the start. I'll be need the hoses and other bits and bobs as well. I have several people here on the West Coast asking for the same, so I am looking for several. Thank's Martin, I'll reach out to Advanced Factors. They do list it on their site as a Genuine part, so they will have to check stock with JLR. Who sells the actual heating units new in the UK? it's a Landrover thing... my renovation thread: http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic40792.html |

I bought mine last year from German ebay for my LHD 2003. was about 35€ i think?.....i will see if i still have the link. Note, unless you have a complete generic install TTC kit, you will need a number of other parts like harness, pump, hoses, lines, intake...etc. The Defender Webasto kit is only a supplement to the main kit. If you want, i can share the source of some of the parts I accumulated from german ebay and German Amazon. There are a couple of good suppliers in Germany. I also have the two install instruction manuals. The LHD one for TD5s is a crap translation from German, but used in conjuction with the RHD TD5 kit from the UK, the two together make sense, Patrick |

Checked on the 67502A "sadly this is not available with Land Rover. Land Rover cannot confirm an ETA for this either."
So, I am going to try to assemble a list of required parts and sources to put together a complete install for a LHD Td5. Looks like I'll need to fabricate a bracket to hold the main unit (there are a number of these in Vancouver, so I could take a photo of one easy enough) 4RF RDS has sent along a manual for Operating instructions, and Installation. Thanks!! Justtellme, I am going to contact Standheizungs and Butler Technik and see if either sells the complete kit (all pieces less the bracket) But if you have a complete parts list, please let me know. it's a Landrover thing... my renovation thread: http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic40792.html |
