After missing out on tickets to the LRM off road event in Milton Keynes I'm keen to use this Saturday to use the Defender. Would like to get to Thetford (4th time lucky!) but have seen several warnings not to go on your own (bad signal + breakdown = bad day!) so is anyone on here already a planning to do a few lanes this weekend that I could tag onto?

Hi SG, I would have loved to have a day out as I'm long overdue one. However, can't make this weekend.
If you're on FB try looking at All Terrain UK page or try their forum http://www.allterrainuk.com/current-site/index.html they are often out in Thetford. I haven't got a trip planned in the area, but do live round there and have got a free weekend!
I could put a bit of a route together if you like. Thetford is a good winter area because it's sandy and well drained, not much in Suffolk, Cambridgeshire area has a lot that get closed on October 1st. I know nothing about Essex lanes, and I have a nice route round Herts if I can find it. How about it? |

Cupboard - Let's try and get it organised. I don't mind where we go, I've not done Thetford despite trying several times on here! Haven't done a lot of Herts either but have done a lot of the North Essex lanes. Where would be your preference? If there's a route already laid out somewhere might be our best bet last minute? I'm happy to lead, either starting at Redbourn or Barton Mills.
I'm happy to tag along too. Let me know either way and I can load the route in to my GPS. Preferably Saturday morning for me. |
