Does anyone have (or has anyone tried to put in) speakers into the rear doors? Just below the handle for the window? My mate who's the audio expert says the 13" Focals I have bought won't work behind the bench seat, remembering I have the Puma DCPU, as there's no space. So we're thinking the bottom of the middle doors, possibly using a spacer. Any thoughts, advice, links to threads? Ta

Lasalle offers door trim with speaker pods, may be the best placement.

Thank you both.
Door trim looks like an option. Gamekeeper, my mate who's advising me is an ex sound engineer who's extensively modded his car speakers. His concern was the depth behind the speaker as we are trying to fit 13cm Focals in. We could put them in each corner in their own housing, but given it's a DCPU they would be very close to the rear passengers' heads. Fine if you're a 'Metaller' but not for Mrs Grenadier's mum. Mind you, won't have to hear her talk ![]() I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list..... 2011 Puma 110DC - Corris Grey |

Edit.
It seems LaSalle do a headliner trim for a DCPU with pre prepared speaker housings for 13cm speakers. Thanks Grey110. Gamekeeper, looks like a headlining option might be possible after all. ![]() I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list..... 2011 Puma 110DC - Corris Grey |

Possibly make a speaker pod under the seats? James

Did look at that. Mine's a Puma and the gap between seat bottom and floor is too tight to make one properly. Sub and amp will be going under there...

I guess door card or roof lining will be best. Only other would be to go to two rear seats with speaker pod / cubby in middle. But big cost if the former will work! James

Did consider this option, as ultimately want to make it a 4-Recaro configuration. But that'll have to wait. Heading looks cleanest and easiest, especially with the wiring. Rather than buying a LaSalle trim, £700+, I might just cut holes and use a spacer. Does the same job. Hope there's enough space after I've insulated. Monsieur Le Grenadier
